	We did it for a Summer Camp Program. It's just a matter of hireing a company that is licenced and insured apropriately for flying children around. Foy cost us about $3000 but this was a few years back. They sent out a rigger that had rigged this show in many different venues so he made it look easy. You have to provide at least one crew member that will help with the instalation and be responsible for taking it all down and packing the rigging so that it can be shipped back. The rigger also trains your crew and cast in the choreography sugested for the show you are doing, then he goes home.

	I had to leave in the middle of the last post, so I'll continue now. We hired a company called Foy and they did a great job for us. We didn't have any incidents, but some people do, even with a professional rigger http://backstageat.backstagejobs.com/?p=569 The links to Foy and a couple others are in that article. Don't try it on your own. It is too much responsibility for anyone the lacks experience with flying actors, and the liabilities are huge. You must have specific insurance to cover you in the event of an accident. I wouldn't want to do Peter Pan without flying, but there are undoubtedly clever alternatives out there. A dancer in black lifting the actor might be a possibility? There might be something that could be done using video? Nothing good really comes to mind. We just did Aladdin last month. It calls for a magic carpet to fly around. I wound up putting them on a platform about 18" off of the stage. We then piped dry-ice fog under the platform in an attempt to create a cloud for them to float on. Further I projected a video of flying clouds to enhance the sense if motion. People liked it and it was pretty, but nobody was fooled into thinking that the carpet could fly. I found it a little disappointing. However it was no where near as disappointing as my digital mixer going down in scene 2 of opening night. Fortunately I had a limited backup and was able to get back up and running after an emergency 10 minute intermission, but I digress.
