Any suggestions on how to darken up a doorway that's used frequently for entrances and exits. Curtains are ok, but need to be removed later on in the show. They tend to move too much and look awkward when actors enter through them.

Consider putting a dark scrim 2 feet upstage of the door and parallel to the doorway. Actors enter from either side of the scrim. This could be accomplished with a non-scrim fabric as well. (But a piece of Chameleon scrim that is 4 feet wide and 7 foot tall is $28.)
