We're using hand mirrors on the set & they're glaring from our lights. We've tried hair spray to stop the glare, but it didn't work. Any suggestions on how to stop the glare. Thanks.

Do you have to have the glass in the hand mirrors for an effect, or are they just props for the cast to use. If it's for the cast only, just remove the mirror (or get a cheep miror you can do this to) and spray paint it silver.

I paint them black. Just paint right over the mirror. when you are done you can clean the paint right off.

There is a product on the market that does a really good job. It's in the Mylar line of spray paints, but I can't remember the name of this particular product......"Dull It", or something. I believe it's available in most stores that carry spray paints, but if it isn't, you can order it online from Mylar. It isn't terribly expensive.....under $10 for the can.

If the actors don't need to see the reflection, you can smear the mirror with Vaseline.
