Gotta add Henry/Lord Dudley in the fabulous play "Play
On".  What a blast!

I can clearly pick a favorite role I've played and that would be the baker's wife in into the woods, which really is just a great show all around. as far as dream roles, i would love to play evita, belle (no, i haven't lost my love of disney yet), mrs. lovett, eponine, amneris and cathy from the last 5 years. so that's a lot of dream roles... i enjoyed reading everyone's lists!
if the end is right, it justifies the beans.

If we are doing dream roles now then I will have to add Sylvia in "Sylvia", and I've always wanted to play Fairie May in "The Curious Savage"

As always I am late but HEY I have been involved in shows either acting or directing since June 07 and just closed a show last weekend.. I have a month off until the next one. :)
OK this was really hard for me since I have been acting since I was 10 and directing since I was 18 and I am OLD now.. ;)
So I am bending the rules and doing Musicals and Straight Plays. :)

Favorite Roles - Musicals
Balladeer/Oswald - ASSASSINS (that makes FIVE OF US!)
Ben - Follies
Barnum - Barnum
Franz/Dennis - Sunday In The Park W/George
Alban - La Cage Au Folles

Favorite Roles - Straight Plays
Ben Hecht - Moonlight And Magnolias (just closed - love that show)
Brian - Shadowbox
Father Flynn - Doubt
Norman - The Dresser
Rosencrantz - Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead

Directing - Musicals
A Little Night Music
Into The Woods
Company (DO WE SEE A PATTERN HERE?)
Little Women
A Christmas Carol Broadway

I will soon be adding SWEENEY TODD to my Favorites Directing as I am directing that starting in March!

Directing - Straight Plays
Dancing at Lughnasa
Lettice and Lovage (no I didn't spell it wrong)
Picnic
The Exact Center Of The Universe
Miracle Worker

More Than Once Acting
Linus - Charlie Brown (2)
Harrod - Jesus Christ Superstar (3)
Doody - Grease (2)
Our Town (George once - Narrator twice)

More than once Directing
Grease

I try to never direct anything twice - but I would direct ANY Sondheim show more than once if given the opportunity!

O.K. favorite roles
All time has to be Ebenezer Scrooge
Second is Bill Starbuck
of course Bill Sykes has a certain panach as does Potter in "It's a Wonderful Life"
I like the edge.
My best response from an audience , Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside in "Auntie Mame"
