    Posted: 11/09/05 at 3:41pm

Hello-does anyone know of a 10 to 15 minute christmas skit/play. I should be a comedy or parody. I have tried searching and could not come up with anything, it would just be used at a private christmas party.

Thanks for any imput.

This is from a previous post of mine, but it answers your query:

I directed a couple of one-acts last December for a Christmas show.  One I would definitely recommend is Pat Cook's "Scrooge Has Left the Building."

In it, Marley's Ghost arrives at what he remembers as Scrooge's abode only to find the miser has split and the new tenants are none too happy about the haunting.  On top of that, he has crossed the international date line to get there and arrives a day early - Christmas Eve EVE - Further ghosts show up with their own agendas until the lady of the house (who is scarier than all the ghosts combined) takes the situation in "hand."

It lasts about 25 minutes, is hilarious, and is available through Eldridge Publishers:

There are some cute one-acts in a script called "The Happy Holidays Collection: Seven Christmas Comedies for Children"  It's published by Dramatic Publishing.  Some of them are a bit complex techically, but others are pretty easy.  The one called "The pengiun who saved Christmas" is very cute and easy from a tech stand point.

We did two of them and a third longer one act from another collection as our holiday production last season.
