I love the dialog from "Shakespeare in Love" - I keep it at the
top of my website LOL "Allow me to explain about the theatre business.? The natural condition is one of insurmountable obstacles on the road to imminent disaster" " What do we do?" " Nothing.? Strangely enough it all turns out well." " How?" " I don't know. It's a mystery." ??? |

Sir Laurence Olivier to Dustin Hoffman regarding Hoffman's Method Acting during Marathon Man. (Possibly approcyphal, but a great story... supposedly in order to prepare for a scene where he's been up all night, Hoffman stayed up all night... prior to the scene being shot, Olivier asked Hoffman "what's the matter with you?" After Hoffman explained, he got the above quote in reply. Authentic or not, I love it.) |
