A resume is an evolving document and pretty easy to develop. Some of the basics are to list contact information, experience and areas of study. You should put these things in a short cover letter. On a separate sheet, list your show involvement and parts played. I can't help you with selecting a number to sing.

To give you an example, Following is an excerpt from my resume for directing and lighting, sound and scenic design. This has worked for me for a number of years.

If you don't have a lot of experience, don't be afraid to admit that fact. Just prepare for and give a dynamite audition. Don't be afraid of being an extra, either. It will help you build your experience and give you something to be proud to put in your future resume.

Thank you for allowing this opportunity to present my qualifications in the theatre arts and my involvement in theatrical production. With 35 years of experience, I bring a sincere love of theatre and the desire to share knowledge and continue growing. I am a well-organized communicator with a great attitude and a solid background in directing successful productions.
