I run a bookkeeping service. One of my clients in Ilinois has asked me to set up a set of financial books for a non-profit theater for them.

I need to know which accounts (chart of accounts) are required, and any necessary tax/government/reporting issues I should be familiar with on their behalf.

Absolutely any help in this area would be tremendously appreciated. I have posted to some newsgroups, but to no avail.

I just took over as treasurer of a theatre guild - former one didn't use computers, so I started from scratch with QuickBooks Pro. Budget is $138K. I worked from her old paper budgets. Will share result with you if you can import it. Our accountant does all the tax reporting (we have no employees).
