Hello again, all!
I'm all of fifteen, now, and I'm back in the swing of stage managing. When school started this year, my schedule came complete with our school's first-ever Theater course. We have full access to the auditorium and stage, as well as the sound and light booth. Our decision for the Fall Drama is.. The Miracle Worker - And we've already cast the show. Rehearsals will start on Monday - I'm so excited. We're taking a look at set design tonight. I've also started light design and light board training with my lovely technical director Cameron. We're still together, for the most part. It's been a whole year, already.
Anyway, I'll keep everyone updated. I have -much- more responsibility this year, thanks to my experience with Carnival last spring. We're still trying to decide on the musical for this spring - I think we've got it narrowed down to Mame and Little Shop of Horrors, among a few others.
Thanks for everything last year. You've all gotten me to where I am today.
Love,
Kelly

How different things look when you are young and when you are, well ... not quite as young. "Last Year" was APRIL of THIS year, and seems like only yesterday. Or maybe early this morning. And I'm still decades away from being an old fogey. Ah, well.
Congratulations on all you've accomplished. I'm sure it's only the beginning.

Hi Kelly,
It is great to hear from you again! It sounds like you have grown in your knowledge of the theatre arts in the last year and I am happy to have been part of that process. I am also thrilled to hear that your school is promoting a theatre curriculum. I am sure, with your enthusiasm, that you played a big part in their decision.
You might want to return the favor and help the poster “Allie” in this forum. She sounds like she is in the same position you were in a year ago.
Stay in touch!
