Probably the easiest way to handle this would be to put the platform on wheels. If you need a taller platform, put wheels on one platform, then attach a second platform with legs of the correct high to the first platform. Attach a couple handles to an offstage area of the platform and have you crew shake it.

We produced "Grace and Glorie" a couple of years ago. We opted not to have the walls shake. While it would be a great effect, it isn't absolutely necessary for it to happen. The audience didn't miss anything by it not happening. The real pain was rigging the water pump to work and "smoke" coming from the stove on cue!

Well, the G & G set is almost done, but auditions for Octette is coming up in a couple weeks. I'm still looking for ideas on the incidental music you may have used in past productions. Any help?

It was a fabulous run. Everyone enjoyed it and their where many standing O's. The best part was the cast really enjoyed themselves and though they were from several different home theaters, all look forward to get togethers and chance meetings and greet each other as sisters! I don't know if I have any general hints or "watch out for.." kinda stuff, but if you have any specific info requests, let me know. Break a leg and have fun with it, its a great show and a great role!
