I'm looking for a hair piece for my next show and would be interested in recommendations for good, reliable sources.

Thanks!

Namely what KIND of hair pieces....full wigs, falls, toupees, male, female, character specific, human hair, synthetic, reasonable, expensive or cheap - many sources out there. ONE OF THE BEST is LACEY WIGS in NYC.  If you Google them you should be able to get their phone number and they are super people to work with.  I've probably bought thousands of dollars over the years from them and they're reliable, resonable and no too bad insofar as styles, choices and so forth is concerned.

Also you can try Atellier-Bassi wigs - I THINK they're in California but may have their main outlet in Germany.  But there may be other outlets here and there.....perhaps FRENDS or NAIMIES both in CA might handle their line. Actually you CAN buy from them and have things shipped from Europe too. However this company is fairly expensive.  There is also a place called Broadway Wigs but they too are way expensive - though if you want the best possible thing you can get the prices have to be paid for quality.

There are many listings on Google that handle LACEY WIGS that are just online companies or what-have-you but you can go direct to Lacey in NYC and if you are a non-profit or a school, you may be able to get discounted stuff, on invoice (paid for later) or whatever the case may be.  There are literally dozens and more most likely who sell wigs online - costume stuff, character stuff but a large majority come from Lacey's line. So why not go to the source to begin with!!

If you need info and can't find it let me know.  I think I have a catalog at home - a bit outdated by now but easy enough to get again.
