So most of my cast is made up of freshmen or inexperienced upperclassmen. All have been eager, prepared, and dedicated. We are now 10 days from curtain and one of my leads will NOT act. He's quiet, withdrawn, sick to his stomach....yes, he's nervous. I've worked with him, coaxed him, and built up his ego. Any suggestions out there?

Dump him.  If he has that bad a case of stage fright and won't use that energy in his performance you are better off cutting your losses.
