I'm looking for some one act plays for my provincal high school drama festival. The play needs to be at least 30 minutes long and no longer than 60. Does anyone have any suggestions that I might be over looking? I have some very strong women actors so the plays don't necessarily need to be ones written specifically for high school performers. The cast size I'm looking for would be between four +.

"You Don’t Have to Feed A Cello" has a cast of 15- 10 females and 5 males-and is published by Heuer Publishing. www.hitplays.com
Running time: 40-45 minutes.

I saw a good one act at the Samuel French off-Broadway festival, I think 2 years ago. 5 or 6 women. It's a comedy, but it's also skewered kids beauty pageants. I don't know who wrote it, but it was called Skin Deep. I think it would be ok for high school. It was one of the winner so I think it's published by French, but don't quote me. Good luck.

Anna is the smartest girl in the school. She's also a purple belt in Tae Kwon Do and has a devastating punch. Strangely enough, she has trouble meeting boys. Except one: August, who seems to appreciate her weirdness. Unfortunately, the course of weird love never did run smooth.
