We are doing a benefit show, 2 performances only, and one of the actors is equity.  (I did not do the casting.)  I know I'm supposed to fill out their forms and even pay them - which really irritates me as we're a tiny theatre barely holding on.  So my question is - what if I just forgot?  Does everyone here always follow all equity rules?  Many theatres I worked for in NYC followed the basic guidelines if not all the letters of the law.  Just curious what happens out here.

Is the equity actor expecting to be paid?
