Hello Everyone,

I am directing a production of A Christmas Carol and will be casting a few children and teens under 18. I wanted to know how you handle children in the cast.
*Do you have the parents fill out consent forms?
*Do you require parents with kids under 18 to stay at rehearsals with the kids?
*Are there any legal issues I am not aware of?

We do have parents fill out the consent forms. We also insist that one of the parent's be back stage with the kids to keep them active. No legal issues I am aware of, but we are considering a policy to check state sex offender websites for all auditioners and crew. Good Luck!
