Just looking for input... a local ballet teach has approached me and wants me to play "Drosselmeyer" in the Nutcracker. I'm certianly flattered, but a little unsure about doing a non-speaking role....although it sounds like a wonderful new challenge... has anybody done Drosselmeyer?? Thoughts??

My friend was cast in his first opera role: as a Mute!  He did it and learned alot, had a great time.  The director of a local production saw it and based on just his stage presence and movement ability offered him Romeo in Romeo and Juliet!

So I say go for it!  You will certainly learn something and it might lead to bigger and better things.  At the very least you will probably get to wear a really cool costume Smile
