Hi,
I'm trying to become involved in community theater in New York City and have no idea where to begin. My experience is limited to high school musicals and plays, but I'm desperate to get back on stage!
Any suggestions?

You can get a list of the community theaters in New York by going to the AACT web site (www.aact.org) and looking up member companies - you can look by state. Then visit the theaters and volunteer. That way you can get to learn about the theater and get known.
