I am a director at a small community theater in Liberty, MO. Our stage size is 10' x 20'....theater seats about 90. It is tiny....I need ideas for shows that can be done on a stage that size...we get primarily women to audition, although our group fluctuates. Recently, we have done Steel Magnolias, The Nerd, Premiere!, The Dixie Swim Club and The Woman in Black. I would like a couple of laugh out loud comedies....or maybe a murder mystery comedy...although preferably, no audience participation. Any ideas??

Have you looked at Greater Tuna.  It has a cast of two, plus four dressers.  You could do it with two women, or two men.  It is probably funnier with two men, but either way would work.  And that is a perfect stage size.

"Somewhere In Between" by Craig Pospisil - as few as six actors, or as many as twelve.

"The Complete Works of Shakespeare - Abridged" - 3 people

In a similar vein: "Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!)" - also 3 actors.

All of the above have fall-on-the-floor-funny moments, and have been very well received by local audiences.
