Hey all -

I've completed a new full-length murder mystery that I think will work really well for community theatres. Here's my blurb:

The Bold, The Young, and The Murdered (13 characters, 8F 5M, flexible to 9F 4M up to 5F 8M).

"There's murder afoot on the set of the long-time running daytime Soap Opera, The Young and The Bold, and the hunk daytime hero Jake Strong thinks he knows who it is. But can he prove it, and can the remaining cast members complete filming what could be their last episode before the killer cancels everyone?" (Think Noises Off with a body count.)

In the week since I've finished the script, I've already had two community theaters sign on to do productions this spring, so I hope that's a good sign. If you'd like to read the script, you can respond on this forum or send me a pm - I'm charging $75 per performance. Scripts are free. This show will be published in August, at which point you'll have to buy the actual books (so get `em now while they're hot!).

And as a minor side note: This will be my 39th published play - my others have received over 2,000 productions in all 50 states, almost every Canadian province, and 25 countries.

Thanks!

Don

^ I'll just give this a bump (since I only just saw it) as being one of the community theaters doing this show in May and say that the script is a RIOT.   It was the perfect solution to what we were looking for - great acting choices in really easily to settle-into characters.
