Anyone have advice or suggestions on creating a field of sugar cane? Perhaps someone has done the show and can tell me what they did?

So far I have found one source for fake sugar cane plants and it is a supplier out of China... and I'm still waiting to hear back about minimum orders and pricing. I suspect that it's going to be really expensive to ship even if I can afford the minimum order quantity.

Concentrate on making the downstage portion look good, then fill in the back with generally green and brown stuff..

maybe bamboo is the place to start?

You're probably right... i could use bamboo and tape/glue some sort of longish leaves to it and keep it shadowy... besides not like anyone in IA knows what sugar cane really looks like right?
