I'm checking for a friend to see if I can find any information on tracks for Anything Goes.  They have a VERY small high school with a low budget and could use some help searching for tracks.  It has to be the entire show.

I've looked all over and haven't come up with anything.

If you know of a site could you please post the link here.

Thanks !

Friend of mine has done this for probably the last 25 years or more..check it out. He has the tracks.  Have no clue what he charges though. Click on the link on the left BROADWAY TRACKS and it will take you to a list with REAL PLAYER samples of the cuts.

I've been to that site before ... even just yesterday ... and I can't get anything to play.  I'm on a Mac, but I have real player installed ... still nothing.

Maybe I'll try to find a PC somewhere with real player.

Have you tried to actually sample any of the tracks?  I've now tried with both Mac and PC with no luck.

If someone else could try to sample the links on that page I would appreciate it.  I can't get anything to play and I don't know if it's on my end or theirs.  Try the ones for Anything Goes.

In the meantime I've sent an email.  Hopefully they will respond quickly because the auditions are in about 2 weeks.

Thanks for the help.

I went there yesterday and tried the samples and they worked for me. I'm using WINDOWS 7 at work now. He was having some problems some time ago with the clips playing but supposedly he fixed that issue. He was traveling for a time I think and just didn't have access to fix them - but has done so since. And they work for me so I have NO idea what's going on. Have you tried updating your Real Player Software (even the freebie)?  Don't know if that's the issue or not. But they do work on my end.

Anyway I know how he does these sequences. He has the scores - the complete orchestra scores, he inputs by playing each instrument one page at a time, one instrument at a time and the combines it all. He is an amazing player first of all but his sequences are done as closely as possible to having a real pit orchestra and can adjust all elements for you as you need it - cuts, key, nuanced and so forth. As I said, he's been doing this for at least 25 years. His equipment is nothing but the best, current technology for realism in the instrumentation and his knowledge as a muscial theater music director and pit player himself is superb.  He understands the things necessary to make the sequences sound great but also how singers sing and the requirements for productions like these.

He should call you promptly. If he doesn't let me know and I'll contact him and tell him you're trying to reach him.

Good luck.

I downloaded the Real Player for both Mac and PC within the last week and I haven't been able to get anything yet ... but I'm hopeful.  Smile

I sent him an email yesterday, so we'll see what happens.

Thanks!

We did Anything Goes a few years back. We found a karaoke disk from one of the standard karaoke places, maybe Pocket Tunes, with most of the songs. Didn't have Heaven Hop, Buddy Beware, Take Me Back to Manhattan and Be Like a Bluebird. We got a local person to arrange those on MIDI. I would offer to sell you my MIDI files (we paid a whole lot for those four songs) if I had them. Maybe I can find them.

BTW, I just LOVED Anything Goes. Great script, great songs. Worth doing just to revel in all that Cole Porter. Have fun, I would do it again in a minute!
