          | Our group needs information on the percentage of fund-raising income sources for non-profit theatres - what % typically comes from individual donors, from grants, etc. Any ideas? |

          | In our small, very young group, about 3/5ths of our gross income was from ticket sales, 1/5 of it was from advertising sold to be placed in our programs and sponsorships for the shows, and another 1/5 was from memberships, individual donations and grants. This is from the past year. I don't know if this is what you were looking for or if it helps at all.... |

          | It varies a lot by year.
We are not a membership organization so we do not have any membership income. We are also a very small organization with a small budget. This year (2003) we will go over $10,000 for the first time. We usually do two or three full productions, four or five readers theaters and two or three acting classes. 2002 was slow because we were fixing up our new home. The donations are way up in 2003 because we needed a lot of technical equipment for our new home. We also reached institutional credibility this year and more large donors were willing to step up to help us.

Here are our last three years:

 2001:
 Full Productions $2,400
 Readers Theater $1,900
 Training $3,200
 Donations $ 400
 Other $ 600
 Total $8,500

 2002:
 Full Productions $1,100
 Readers Theater $ 900
 Training $1,900
 Donations $ 350
 Other $ 400
 Total $4,600

 2003: (so far)
 Full Productions $3,700
 Readers Theater $1,400
 Training $2,500
 Donations $3,500
 Grants $1,000
 Other $ 900
 Total $13,000

 Hope this helps.
