Hello all!

It's me again. I'm posting a few different questions and solicitations for news in just a few sections here, but I don't want to be spammy, so please feel free to pass this news request on to those you know.

Basically, I'm the Guide for a brand-new section at the About.com community: Performing Arts ( http://performingarts.about.com/ - http://performingarts.about.com/ ), and am posting in just a few specific sections here at the Green Room to solicit your news or feedback.

My news focus will cover tech and creative aspects of the performing arts, as I mentioned in my other post over in Set Design, but I'm also going to be covering regional and community theater news every bit as heavily as the usual stuff on Broadway, Chicago, and L.A.

  • So, in a nutshell -- if you're announcing your new season?
  • Winning awards on the local or regional front?
  • Taking creative risks, or moving in a new direction?
  • Adopting new business approaches that are paying off for your organization?
Let me know! I'd also love your suggestions on any specific news or features you'd like to see covered.

Last but not least, I am going to be spotlighting different community theatres on an ongoing basis in my column, and will be especially looking for those that are:
  • Especially involved in their communities at large
  • Winning awards or consistently staging exciting or well-received works
  • Taking chances creatively (from show selections, to casting, design, production, and more)
  • And trying new things when it comes to marketing, audience development, etc.

I'm going to do the best I can to create a foundation of information that helps those working in the business day to day, as well as those just starting out.

Thanks so much again for this chance to say hello, and I hope you'll drop me a line, stop by, and take part. I want to really do my part for those who work in the arts every day, and make you guys proud.

Cheers,

Angela
