Does anyone have access to a decent imitation of the Ed Sullivan voice over introduction from BYE BYE BIRDIE when they go on his show for the "One Last Kiss" scene?  Even though he played himself in the movie, the lines have been changed from the text of the musical script, so that's no help. Of the thousands of productions of this show, SOMEONE must have a sound file with the voice over.  I realize that it's intended to be done "live," but he is "offstage" and is never seen.  I'd rather have a reliable pre-recorded impersonation anyway.

Come on...Ed's voice is one of the most imersonated voices in history.  Almost everyone 50+ has their own Ed voice.  You mean you have noone in your group that can do the voice?  It's a comedy, a bad Ed voice can get a big laugh.

thanks for the brilliant and very obvious suggestion, however that wasn't the question, and therefore isn't helpful. If I had someone to do it, why would I go onto this chat board? please don't respond to questions when you don't have the answer the person is looking for.   I am looking for a theatre that might have a RECORDED sound file of a decent impersonation of Ed Sullivan already made.

Sorry Darlin I didn't mean to come across as less than helpful.  The discussion board usually is a means of sharing ideas and different insights.  I understand the way the board works due to the long history I have with this room.  You appear to be a rather demanding person and not open to other ideas.  I wish you good luck.

Yes I responded again without exactly what you asked for.  We do have a recording made of one of our actors doing a very good impersonation.

The last two times I have done this show, we had a live microphone offstage, and one of the cast members did it that way. I think that is far more likely to be the norm, than having a recording of the piece.

He will never get to 5 stars with an attitude like that.
