I'm looking for a knife effect that will stick into the actor's clothes without ruining the costume, for a comedy called The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens. The character gets stabbed and the knife must stay in the back of his jacket until he falls on the floor and dies. Thanks! |

One of our actors in Busybody is an excellent wood carver and he made a light weight knife with a short blade. Then the actor to wear the knife purchased a suit from Goodwill that we didn't mind cutting a slit in the back of the jacket. The knife was inserted and glued into a small piece of light weight wood which was on the inside of the jacket. Here is what he looked like when he was just standing around after Dress rehearsal.
