What still amases me is that gel still are produced in the old original standard of 20" x 24" [Bakers tray] sheet size, as per the first coloured gels by Cinemiod [Roscolene] of yester year & are still the standard sheet size of today.

I believce it is as theraputic as basket weaving, sticky taping all the pieces together?Smile
Especialy with off cuts from rolls, when they have been cut without any thought of wastage in mind. At least making the offending wombats stick the bits together as an exercise, can  be a usefull learning tool for new TIT's [Techies In Training] & others. Also it's a good way for them to remember gel numbers & thier colours.

If you have a problem with gel cut calc to suit different frames, have a squit at this new toy;- http://www.techietalk.co.uk/articles/gel-calc-review/ - http://www.techietalk.co.uk/articles/gel-calc-review/
As the article suggests it  would be great if you have a large lighting rig & understand what an ipod aps is Confused
Frankly in comeatre I think it would be still easier for me, to stick to the old home made frame size template & use the nogging.
