I have noticed with a lot of TV series lately, they list a load of bods as 'Producers'. The last DVD I watched had no less than 17 designated Producer titles.
Doing the sums there was 4 which were just the 'Producer' with 3 lots of ones as 'Consulting, Executive & Co Executive Producers. Obviously 3 for each designated Producer, plus one on his Todd just entitled 'Produced By'.
From each of those named they all seem to be the main cast members of the show. Could this be a way of affording members of the cast a form of ownership or just to stop the bitching about them having thier own dressing rooms or the pecking order of who has the biggest one {caravan [trailer]} on the lot?
I can imagine the line up of Producers 'steamer chairs' on the set, which must get up the nose of the lonely single desigated 'DIRECTOR'.
I hope this does not filter down to theatre eventualy.
