We will open Wizard of Oz in one week. We have conquered almost all the special effects, but I am stumped with how to stage the bucket of water thrown at the witch. Real water is out of the question. I tried confetti made with blue mylar streamers, but it is so light that it floats down like snow. Anybody have a good idea?

When we did it, the water was "assumed". everyone knows she throws water, so when she "acts" it, we see it.. and it really moves so fast that we are now all wathcing the more important point. "How are they going to melt the witch?"
