Sorry to be crowding the flow of posts, i am just rather on edge for this particular audition. In a development i have found a monologue from "P'tang Yang Kipperbang" a London based screenplay. The monologue itself is a heartfelt declaration of love by a 14 year old boy in his first love. The monologue needs to be relevant to my age group and i am 17 and still at school. Would it be a mistake to use a monologue from such a young character even if i feel it is mature enough to be taken seriously.

Its towards the bottom of the page.

Many Thanks Gabe Manthorp

I think that Alan, the character in question, is a pretty mature 14.  In fact, I've known a lot of 17 year olds that weren't as mature as Alan is at 14.  I think this a great monologue, and if you can act it half as well as it reads, you'll be amazing.  Go for it.
