Need to build a model set for a class. Ideas on how? What material works best? Cardboard? Stirafoam (sp)?

It is relitivly simple and I simply want to convay the idea of what I want.

Also, do I need to set up a grand and the travelers and such? Thanks!

*all ideas ar helpful :-)

When we did it I projected most of the scenery. We had, a two flat forest, four flat kitchen, and one drop for the trial. Projections included an animated trip down the rabbit hole, animated size change in the rabbit's home, animated rain for the flood, exit from the hole to Wonderland, tea party, white queen, red queen, tweedle dee and tweedle dum, Cheshire cat, and maybe a couple others. Our venue has an almost decent projector in the booth and we used the cyc as a screen. We kept the kids downstage as much as possible, and I designed my backgrounds so that there wasn't a lot of detail at the bottom to help when actors wandered into the projection. If you built or rented sets, you might use less scenes.
