We needing to revamp our contracts for directors, designers, technicians and actors. Is anyone willing to share copies of your contracts. After all some of my best ideas I get from others.

Hi,
I'm kinda on the same boat, except we have ZERO contracts. Any help would be appreciated. Right now I'm looking for a crew contract for lighting and sound and a makeup artist contract.

This site has some sample contracts. You may have found it already, but just in case.
Generally speaking it's often easiest to start with a list of what you want the contract to do. Do you want it to actually protect legal concerns? Do you want to reinforce job responsibilities and commitment? Then compare that list with samples.
There's nothing wrong with using someone else's contract, but if your going to have a contract it should fulfill the purposes you wanted a contract in the first place.
I say this next part to everyone I speak with. It's also worth pointing out that if you draft your own clauses, I would encourage you to try and avoid trying to sound "professional" or "legal." Plain and straightforward language will do just fine. If people cant understand what the contract says then its more likely they will blow it off, and if you DO intend to actually have some legally enforceable aspects to the contract, your ability to enforce that contract could be put at risk due to confusing language.
