I read a post a few months ago about a couple of people who make midi orchestrations of musicals that usually require a live band.   Could somebody repoint me to that thread or send me a private message?

I am looking for the  one that is in St. Louis especially.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thanks.   Thats the thread I remember, but  dont think either of them have done it.   May have to do some more research.  Finding a band is tough!

Troy I seem to remember there was another thread, about a mob over there, in some town or other? It might have been in a hamlet like New York?
There were bods who were doing this for most of the Musicals & even supplied music - and it they apparently ensure it is kosha with copyrights!
TonyDi posted I think - might be worth while giving him a PM & he may be able to help.

Yep Joe is right.  There are a couple I know of referenced in the post above.  ALSO there was another post where this was discussed as follows:

Either of these guys are the best at it and they both have paid for the rights I believe to distribute these CD's with the background music for many many shows.  AND they can adjust things as YOU need them.  Don't know the cost these days but it's far cheaper than hiring a full orchestra (sorry to musicians who are trying to make a living too) but when you simply cannot afford any other way, this is the next best thing.  And if it's a show that they have done already, you have the tracks at the beginning and actors/singers can learn it, the music never changes, the orch don't need smoke breaks or dinner breaks and they don't argue or talk back!! HAHA!! Seriously, AND they sound pretty dang good too.

Check them out for yourself.

Good luck
