Hey all-

I'm working with a group of kids doing a B'way revue for a summer show. We're looking to have them all spray 'hairspray' at the end of a musical number. Does anyone know something safe that sprays like aerosol but won't choke the kids?

Office-supply stores carry "air-dusters" for computer and other electronic equipment. It's shoots out a blast of air which is simply a compressed gas that typically is odorless. You could put a fake Hairspray label on the can and no one would be the wiser.

Check out this link: http://www.southernhillscomputer.com/airdusters.html

Some tool discount houses carry a "refillable spray paint can."  You put thinned down paint in it and pressurize it with a compressor.  Just use water instead of paint.  It would give the "cloud effect" of hairspray but remain safe and non-toxic.

On a related note, I just built a 9-1/2 foot tall can of hairspray as a set piece for the show HAIRSPRAY.  The "spray" is from a fog machine positioned inside the can.  Check it out.

Thank you both very much. I had thought of the air dusters but there's no 'cloud' effect. I will look for the re-fillable cans.

And your ultra clutch looks terrific! Thumbs%20Up
