We are staging an adaptation of Gogol's Inspector General in which there is a bit where one of the actors stands outside a hotel room door peeking in and at the proper moment the door breaks down and he falls on top of the door face down on the floor. So every night the door has to work so that people can open and close it and then it falls off of it hinges only to be repaired after the actor falls through. Any ideas?
