I need a goat for a production of Joseph. Need to be able to remove a leg or something for it to bleed. Any help would be appreciated.

we made a funny looking one (like a stuffed animal) that was all velcro-ed together (the legs, the head, the tail) on a little pull-wagon.
when the brothers fell on it, the legs, head and tail came off - when the brothers backed away, the body on the wagon was laying on its side with the wheels spinning.
it was pretty funny.

Thanks. What did you make the stuffed animal out of. I was thinking of something with paper machet.

Ours was a stuffed animal like thing ... though quite large (about 3' high).
I think the prop master just used a pattern from Butterick or something for a stuffed animal, and then just used velcro to put the various parts together, rather than sewing them as instructed.
As I recall it took a LOT of fiber fill to stuff it LOL>

Yup Tristan that's what we did too only we didn't use a wagon. Someone off atage just threw it on. But the parts were all attached with velcro

It could be made easily as a soft sculpture out of the type of fun fur that looks like wool. I did this with a turkey for Scrooge. Its really pretty easy, you would make a three legged goat, and have the extra leg (would need a stiff support material inside) that could be inserted in to the extra leg-hole. If you had extra material in the leg hole painted red, you could then rig that with velcro to pull out and look authentically like the pulled off leg bled.
