When my youngest daughter was in high school, she made crowns with it. She also had a friend who made a prom dress with it. It didn't look half bad either.

I knew an audio tech some years ago, who would wear a white pair of what he called his lucky sneakers, every time he did a gig. Even while in his dress show blacks.
I think the shoes were over 20 years old.
He kept repairing them with white gaffer tape, so much so I think the shoes must have disintergrated & were just gaffer tape.

Uh so many ideas and NO-ONE yet mentioned an OFTEN USED gaffer tape trick - uh, to be delicate, to "bind" an otherwise uh.....rather healthy structure of a feminine nature!!??  I've seen that used so many times on some femme's chest that it's almost become a joke.  DANCERS especially or those who are lesser endowed using gaffer's tape to create an otherwise meager or missing declotage.  Just another in a long line of uses for this wonderful product I wish I had stock in.  :)

While on tour, we had a set fall just prior to a show (the set was made of that lovely chipboard).  We pushed the pieces back in place, held them there with gaffers tape, and touched up the paint just minutes before curtain.

I've also repaired ripped hems, seams, etc. on costumes when there's no time to grab a needle and thread.

Works wonders on drapes that have been caught in moving scenery, too.

This brings back memories Tony!
I was hired by a Model Academy to do lighting & staging for thier fashion shows.
This was back in the late 70's when disco was all the rage.
The principle of this school, hit on an idea of producing fashion shows for charity orginisations.
So she used her students to be the coat hangers & thru promotion got supplied with the fashion brand clothes to display.
Anyway she was cioning it in as there was virtualy little & no costs to do the shows.
Anyhow her students [All over 20 years old in those days] had complained when they were asked to give cleavage & to use tape to enhance.
The complaints were it was uncomfortable & some reacted to the adheasive. Mind you they were given everything from duct to sticky tape to use for it.
So I suggested they use gaffer, of course I ended up giving them a roll of gaffer to try.
They did have problems attempting to tear the tape at first, so I showed them how to do it easily. It worked well except for those who had applied oils or powder first to their boobs.
I ripped of a few strips, naturaly I closed my eyes while I instructed them how to apply the gaffer  to thier bras, rather than thier skin.Embarrassed
I don't know what else they used it for, but every show they would go thru a complete roll of tape?
I almost took on an indenttureship, as an adult apprentice Hold Up Man in a Bra factory, but stuck to just being a sparky instead.Unhappy
