Has anyone staged "Rebecca" by Daphne DuMaurier? I would be most interested in seeing a sketch of your set. The staging in the script is very vague and I can't seem to figure out doors and windows placement. Our company rents space as needed - we've used several different venues - so size of the stage can vary. I'm playing with 12x24 right now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

hey take a look on YouTube under Musical REBECCA there is a video from the german production, a few good looks at the scenery

Thanks for the tip, neil. I looked at the long video (leave it to the Germans to make a musical out of this one!). Their set is beautiful, however I only have 12x24 to work with!

Haha i know! Ah i see, i missed that in your post. The fire scene at the end in the video is fantastic...we now know what the big budget went to. sorry i can't be of more help! (The story, unknown to me before i read your post) sounds awesome! Good luck!
