Does anyone know where I can purchase "ear clips" for the lavaliere mics that we have? I've been searching the web, but I only see mics with ear pieces for sell. Help!

We've tried taping the mics to the neck, but the tape doesn't stick well, especially when the actors start perspiring.

I don't know your specifics, but have you thought about trying spirit gum or latex instead of tape? Maybe this could be a backup if you can't find what you need.

We tend to clip them into the hair. We run the cord up the back of the neck and into the hair. It has work really well for us, especially for costume changes. The mic never moves.
not really what you were looking for but maybe another alternative.

Thank you for your suggestions.
But I finally found what I was looking for at the Alpha Sound & Lighting Co in CA. It is just a plastic piece that will go around the ear that we can tape our lapel mics to. They're $7.95 each.

I hope they work, if not, we'll try your suggestions. We do have one bald man and the women change wigs thru out the play. LOL

what we usually do is just run the cable up the back to the neck, then follow the hairline to the ear. put a piece of cloth medical tape at the base of the neck, behind the ear, and right before the actual microphone on the face. I've found that the cloth tape sticks better and actors prefer it because it absorbs makeup and becomes darn near impossible to see with the right application of makeup.
