Need just a little snow in front of the proscenium.  Have heard of cutting small x's in pillowcase and shaking it to let snow drop.  Has this worked for anyone?  Will have to hide whatever we use behind 1 foot x3 foot speakers mounted on a 20 foot ceiling and work using fishing line pulled to behind the proscenium.

Any other ideas?

I've used a small box, with a 1 - 1 1/2 inch high side, suspended from a rod.  You shake the box using a rope or fishing line and the snow floats down.

Anyone found a realistic use for that chemical snow they have now.. . Just add water... etc...?

the pillowcase should work, its basically just a dumbed down snow bag (the most common device used professionally).  As for the chemical snow, i've heard nothing good about it: looks unreal, sticky, etc.
