Hello I am looking for a non-musical, full length play. I want it to be about 4 characters (1 or 2 more might be okay), and preferably have two female characters who are betwen 45 and maybe 55.

Oh yeah, did I mention it has to have only been done a few times before? So basically a new play!!:)

Thanks, all suggestions will be happily accepted.

How important are those ages.   Can one female be 20 to 30?
If so I have a 3 character full length comedy...only produced twice.
It is written for one female two males, but one of the males could be played by a female. Simple set (cheap apartment)  I have rave reviews from both productions if you're interested.  Both reviewers (in two different states) compared it to Neil Simon, which is flattering to me, but I'm sure it's quite an insult to Mr. Simon.  It's called "The Spectator Sport".
Let me know if you're interested.

The Smell of the Kill  by Michele Lowe - 3W 3M (men are off stage voices).  Go to http://www.dramaticpublishing.com - www.dramaticpublishing.com to look up the description and to read an excerpt.

You'll need to have a set that's a very upscale suburban kitchen.  It won't be a cheap set to create.  Lighting is fairly simple.   Sound is integral to the show as there are sounds of a baby crying from a baby monitor, a screeching cat, live spoken voices from the baby monitor and thumping sounds that are supposed to come from a meat locker in the basement and a clock that gets shot off the wall.  There's more but I won't spoil it for you.

The show is funny as hell and the women in the audience will especially appreciate it.   Good luck!

Hi, Carissa!  I'm a big fan of a hilarious new play, "Dearly Beloved,"  that has just been published by Dramatists Play Service and is less than a year old!  It's got seven characters, but the 3 lead women are all between 45-52 years old, more or less.  I know for sure it had its world premiere at Asheville Community Theatre (NC) and then was done in Greensboro, NC, too, and in both places it got rave reviews, so it's till brand new.  I've found their website and its got good info. about the play on it:  http://www.jezebellesink.com - www.jezebellesink.com .  Good show!
