On Monday (April 24) I start first read-thru of "O A Clear Day You Can See Forever". I am confident in my abilities so I am not really looking for assistance on how to direct the piece, but asking more about the piece itself.

I chose this  musical because of its unique subject matter and fun score. It's plotline and development is actually very weak. Maybe, that is why this production is not staged very often. In looking at the history of the story it went through constant rewrites being reborn time and time again. This show is an example of revisions not improving from the original. Whole characters and songs have been removed. The Striesand movie is even a different version.

Anjy thoughts about the show? Anyone care to comment if they were involved in a production of it? What are your thoughts?
