I am wondering about how to go about putting together a self-made revue and follow the correct procedures for royalties.  I remember hearing about an organization that you can register your show with and they will charge a "per song" fee (I assume they would then pass this on to the appropriate individuals and/or organizations???)  Is that true, and if so does anyone know how I could contact such an organization?  (note that not all of the songs will necessarily be showtunes)

Thanks!

Tim

Hi,

Try contacting SOCAN.    They more than likely will have the info you need.  See link below.

I know that SOCAN covers royalties/rights to use of songs, music, depending on when it is used.
