Hi ya'll!  so glad to see this forum up and running again.  that being said, i need your help.  I'm doing the music for "A Streetcar Named Desire".  There are some particular songs mentioned in the script that I have to find, but cannot find them anywhere. (limewire).  Any thoughts?  Anyone else do music for this show and found them? Looking in specific for Varsouviana, Good Night Ladies, and Wien! Wien!.  Any help would be appreciated.

OK. Let's just get this over with. No, I'm not seasick. Yes, I was born this way. No, I DID NOT eat grass as a child. This is my sister, Nessa. As you can see she's perfectly normal.

You must be very young if you don't know the song "Good Night Ladies"   The lyrics are "Good night ladies, good night ladies, good night ladies, we're going to leave you now."  Get a copy of the original Music Man movie - the barbershop quartet sings it.  But there are probably upteen movies with that song in it.  The others, I don't know.  (I'm probably too young to know those!)

"Varsouviana" is a polka - check out some polka anthologies.
"Wien! Wien!" I think is a rough translation for "The Vienna
Waltz" (readily available).

Isn't the music score for this play (including all the incidental music)
available from the leasing company (Samuel French?)? I know it used to be
available as a rental on a reel-to-reel tape.
