Anyone know how to make fake iced tea?  Need it for a dinner scene and wanted it fake so I can use it over and over again.

is it really easier to store something than simply put a teaspoon
of instant iced tea mix in water before each performance?

I agree. I hate working with food on stage, and even I don't have  a problem with ice tea. Unless there is another reason I would use the real thing.

I agree. Iced tea is so easy to deal with. I just make a pitcher of it at the
beginning of tech week. One pitcher usually lasts through tech week and
the first weekend (even with actors stealing it.) I bring the pitcher home
and run it through the dishwasher before making it again for the next
week.

i used a bottle of coke and mixed it with water or you can use some food coloring to make it appear like an iced tea instead.  At least no one will have to take it home and it is much cheaper

black cherry sodas work nice for a variety of drinks too, mix with water or ginger ale.

Not sure that I'd use carbonated beverages on stage unless you need to for an effect (and not for the kind that it might have on the actor).  Iced tea works best for a variety of simulated alcoholic drinks and plain water for anything clear.  Anything requiring color just use food coloring in water.   The KISS (keep it simple stupid) method usually works best.

I never use anything on stage by way of liquid other than water. A few drops of food coloring change your water into tea, liquor, whatever.
