"I Cain't Say No" from Oklahoma or "Cockeyed Optimist"
from South Pacific ?

"Cain't Say No" was my first thought too.

How about "Whistle A Happy Tune" from King & I?

Or - if you can pull it off, if you're willing to be a little silly, and if you can stand it  -- the "Goatherd Song" from Sound of Music?

"When The Children Are Asleep" from Carousel

I just finished a spectacular run of Music Man at our theater, and since I am a guy, I sang Nothin' Lika a Dame from South Pacific.  What part are you auditiong for?

The part you are going for should determine what type of song you sing.

If you are hoping for Marion, "I Cain't Say No" would be completely
inappropriate, but since you are an alto you haven't much of a shot at that
role anyway. There are some decent alto roles though.
