Does anyone have experience in selecting a box office software program for a small non-profit theater? Any help would be appreciated.

We switched to a computer box office program last season. We're using TickIt 2K+. It's worked out pretty well for us and the way we manage our season tickets. It's got a few quirks that we've had to adapt to (like the way it handles expired and renewed subscriptions if they overlap) but overall we've been very pleased with it. There are several box office software companies out there but we went to http://www.ticketsalternative.com - www.ticketsalternative.com . They set us up with a free account and they tack on like a 1.75 to the ticket price. You can set it up where you pay some of that etc if you feel that will deter your costomer base. It has worked very well for us they ahve an online database so you can see right from the box office what was sold wiht a full will call list. they have customer information that you can use for advertising etc. later. They send out hard tickets to people if they purchase 7 days in advance and then you can print them out if you want as well. We tried ticketswest but had MANY problems with them. I researched them all so if you find a company and you have questions on them let me know.
