Hi all: Our community theater group in a relatively small town in the bible belt is about to put on Albee's "The Goat" at our city owned theater. I've had some trepidations about this project from the start, but I'm prone to excess caution. Anyone else have any experience with staging this show in a community theater?

We've never done the show, though I really like the script. I've never considered producing here (also a small conservative town) because I know it would be negatively received by people who wouldn't even come see it. I'd be interested to hear how your community responds to it, and if they start locking up their livestock as a result
