My School just bought 4 intelligent lights (which are not cheap) and we have found that they are not so intelligent. We have a lot of trouble retaining their possition cues. The lights will randomly move areound and come up in the wrong places. Does anyone have advice on getting them to be more intelligent.

Well SM the short answer is;- contact the supplier/manufacturer, &/or take time out to digest the Instruction/Manual Book & let it incubate. Then do the set up again, & follow it very closely with another Techy as you do IT step by step!

Unfortunately to attempt to assist, with comments such as "Have you tried this or that &/or how about? Will tend to confuse & frustrate you more, where upon you may resort to the ?Nudge stick principle? of the Big Hammer - to fix it once & for all!

I will bet, it something so simple, that has been overlooked in the set up logistics!

Some one I know who is some what of a guru is Martin on the http://www.amdram.co.uk - www.amdram.co.uk .

May I suggest you place a topic on their discussion board. [I realise this might not be politically correct, to recommend another site. - I appoligise - Sorry!!! To Mike & Chris in advance!]

No worries, Gaafa... we want the best advice, no matter where it comes from. Send him to Timbuktu if it solves the problem.

You may have your lights in a test mode. See your instruction manual for info on this. Also most moving lights will run a test when they are powered up. With moving lights its all in the programing. contact your dealer for some training(a good dealer should do this for you at littel or no charge). If that does not work call a rental house who rents the units and see if they can help. If you are in the midwest you can call my firm Heartland Scenic Studios 866-341-9121. We do trainings and also have programers who can come out and show you the ropes.
