We're seeking a large fully-retractable (think Asian suicide) prop knife for our production of M. Butterfly - either borrow, rent or purchase - depending on the price.

Production dates are April 29th through May 14, 2005 in Nashville, TN.

For all my unusual prop needs I have a shop near by that is a combination Halloween costume/magic prop shop. I am sure there must be something similar in your area. I'd check there, at least to start.

Check out www.nightmarefactory.com for their
selections of weapons. They advertise a 10" knife
with a 4" retractable blade. I'm sure you could
decorate this to resemble more closely what you're
looking for.

www.fxsupply.com offers helpful instructional videos
on making your own props, prosthetics, breakaways,
etc.
