And it will!

It's a Great musical to be involved with!

I did the set design back in the 70's at the old original Patch Theatre in Williams Street Perth, West Australia.

Although the stage was really just a postage stamp, it worked well! I loved doing it, with revolves & a desk on a truck, that was pushed from USC down to the centre apron, during the song 'Hey there!' & a scim lighting transformation scene for 'Henando's Hideawy!'

Ah yes! "I remeber it welL'

Yea, our set is particularly cool. For the factory set, we built a catwalk connected to two spiral metal staircases. We were very fortunate to have alot of support on this play...alot of the high school parents own construction or heating/cooling or woodworking companies, so we were to get alot of awesome props (such as factory lights and those big laundry baskets) basically for free.

Those staircases, however, the Drama Club had to pay for. But, I think they'll be well worth the investment.

It seems you got it made in the shade!

Spiral staircases - Fantastic!

You can even utalise them in the Misenscene of the ?Hideaway? as well!

There is also the possibility of doing ?Mame? & ?West Side Story, by then you will be ready to do ?Rent?, which might become available?

Isn?t it marvelous how a Set piece, can conjure up great possibilities!

If not you could always ?flog? off one on EBAY & recover your costs!

I think we all would like to see any pics, put up on this board, of your production - so don?t forget!

Chookas!
